How can you get rid of stretch marks and/or cellulite?

i would like toknow what possible way there is to get rid of stretch marks without haveing to order those fancy expensive creams and junk?! what simple way can i get rid of that? and by the way i am only 15 and i have stretch marks.. i havent gained or lost alot of weight over the years so i dont know how this is possible. if anything i have lost weight but maybe like 5 pounds. nothing drastic…. HELP!

Answer:

I posted this response previously.

There are various options to treat stretch marks.

1. Moisturizers and creams. Cocoa butter or anything containing vitamin E is good.

2. Alpha hydroxy acids to exfoliate the skin, soften the skin, and improved elasticity.

3. Tretinoin or Retin-A. This compound loosens the keratin in the outer skin layers and helps to exfoliate dead skin cells.

4. Surgery to remove the affected skin. A tummy tuck is one example when surgery removes stretch marks.

For cellulite, I have had some experience with the Velasmooth system. It worked quite well for me, although multiple treatments are required.

what are natural ways to reduce cellulite?

i have a lot of cellulite around the back of my thighs and my butt… i’m only 17 and i’m 5’7 115 pounds… so i[‘m not overweight or anything. anyway are there any exercises or whatever to get rid of it?!
also – what diets would be good? which foos SHOULD and SHOULDNT’ i eat?

Answer:

The two biggest factors for cellulite are water and circulation. So, you need to increase cardiovascular exercise, and improve your water intake. Swimming is particularly good for improving circulation. Drink water that has been boiled within 3-4 hours, as this improves your absorption.

You will also need patience. The cellulite will not disappear quickly.

What is the quickest, most effective way of getting rid of stretch marks and cellulite? Laser?

I’m only 15, and I don’t really have plans to bother about them yet. But I’m wondering for when I’m older; is there some sort of laser treatment I could do? How long would it take, and how expensive? I use Bio Oil at the moment but it doesn’t seem to be working very well. In the meantime, is there anything less drastic that I could do?

Answer:

The laser treatment might be a expensive and marks fade over time so you may not have them in the future. What I use on my stretch marks and scars is E45 cream or eczema cream which has helped them to fade and have been seeing a difference quickly. I used bio oil too I didn’t see a difference at all and was not impressed as it isn’t cheap. I would recommend palmers butter which smells great and is good of getting rid of stretch marks. For the cellulite I would recommend doing exercise like running, jogging, pilates or yoga to tone them up and this will get rid of the cellulite. Also drinking lots of water helps too. Hope this helps.

How can I diminish the appearance of cellulite, even a little?

I’ve mostly heard that there is no fix for it, but has anyone done anything (diet, exercise, etc) that has been even in some small measure successful. Also, what can I do to prevent it? It’s not that bad right now, but I don’t want it to become worse. Thank you.

Answer:

I have no personal experience with this, but I have heard that a seaweed scrub soap can be used to do this.

My 6 month old baby is covered in cellulite, is this normal?

My baby has cellulite all over her body: on her arms, legs, tummy and bum. Is this normal? Is it because of the food I am eating (she is strictly breastfed)? She is a little chubby but not too much, so I just find it weird. I hope I’m not doing anything to harm her well being!

Answer:

yes its very normal and nothing to worry about! it goes when they get older all mine had it as babies my eldest 2 havent anymore and my youngest still has!

mum to 3.5yrold, 2.5yrold & 8month old!

Do you have any realistic tips on getting rid of cellulite?

I don’t care what it is, I work out hours a day and cannot get rid of this problem. I know that there is no known cure but I am willing to try anything!

Answer:

realistically, the only way to do this is by having laser treatments. cellulite doesn’t just go away. it’s a permanent thing. but you can help your skin look better by using vitamin e creams, & cocoa butter. i asked my boss (im an assistant for a plastic surgeon) about any tricks to reducing the look of cellulite, & the only way was through a certain laser treatment.

watch out with tanning too. if you live in a sunny area, try not to expose your trouble areas too much. when your tan your pigment will change your skins color, but the cellulite will remain the same color & make it stand out.

How can i prevent spider veins and cellulite from appearing in my legs now and later in life?

I am a teenager, and i already have these appearing. I work out and run and stay fit, and i am not overweight. Is there anything I can do to prevent these?

Answer:

There isn’t all that much you can do. I’ve had these as far as I can remember. Back when I was 14 – 18 years old, I worked out 2 – 3 hours a day, ate 300 – 600 calories daily and was so thin that size 0 pants were loose on me. (It was extremely stupid. Don’t try that) No matter what I did, I couldn’t get rid of the cellulite completely. Spider veins can be removed by laser treatment or a procedure where saline solution is injected into them (can’t remember the name offhand) but there is no guarantee that they won’t return.

Now that I’m 28, I’m 135 pounds and my cellulite and spider veins look about the same as when I was a teenager.

I think that basically every woman develops cellulite at some point in her life. Focus on keeping yourself healthy. Just remember that you are going to notice “flaws” on yourself more than anyone else will. Don’t worry about it.
